Rory passed his PhD viva. Congratulations Dr. Cooper! Rory will now go on to work at the University of Geneva in the laboratory of Michel Milinkovitch, studying skin appendages in Reptiles.

Rory's work on Skin Denticles in Sharks was featured on the BBC Four documentary series 'Secrets of Skin'. December 15th - 20th 2019. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000cdzb  In collaboration with Keith Hunter, at the School of Clinical Dentistry, University of Sheffield, we compared stem markers in shark tooth regeneration with both rested lamina and ameloblastoma in humans. The first direct comparison between shark and human dental tissues.  Fraser lab featured in National geographic documentary - Pushing the boundaries of dentistry!3/6/2019
